POWERSCHOOL FORMS: Please remember, if you haven’t already done so, to go into PowerSchool and update your forms for the 25 - 26 school year.
YEARBOOK ART CONTEST: Are you interested in designing the cover for the FMS 2025 - 2026 Yearbook? Entry forms are on the bookcase by the office. The contest runs from September 30 - October 13. Entries need to be turned into the MS office by Monday, October 13, 2025.
PICTURE RETAKES: Retakes will be done on Friday, October 24. If you would like to have your pictures retaken, please bring the original package back on retake day. If you were absent, please be prepared to have your picture taken. Extra picture order forms are on the bookcase by the office.

FMS Night @ The Maize: Oct. 16 from 8 - 10 Night at the Maize
POWER OF PEN: Power of the Pen in a competitive creative writing team for seventh and eighth graders only. The tournament provides a unique opportunity for you to meet other creative students from all over Ohio. It also provides opportunities for medallions, trophies, scholarships, and even publication. You can participate without attending the after school meetings if sports practices get in the way, but you would need to find time to write each week. If your family is in need of support this holiday season, Care Train of Union County is now accepting applications! Care Train offers food vouchers and toys to families across Union County during the holidays. To receive assistance, you MUST complete the application. Applications must be completed by Nov. 1, 2025. 8TH GRADE PARENTS: The eighth grade incentive program involves students earning play money which they can spend on snacks and school supplies. At the end of each quarter they will have the opportunity to attend a silent auction to bid on more expensive items. This incentive program is most successful with parent donations. PANTHER PAWLOOZA: Join Us for Panther Pawlooza on November 1. Panther Pawlooza is an adults-only fundraiser that supports all of our Fairbanks high school and middle school student athletes and their uniforms. Each school team receives new uniforms every four years through fundraising efforts by the athletic boosters including the concession stand and Panther Pawlooza. WINTER SPORTS: If you are interested in participating in a winter sport, please fill out the Google Form before October 22nd. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mr. Grey Huston.
GIRLS BASKETBALL OPEN GYMS: Any 7th or 8th grade girls interested in playing basketball please attend the open gyms. They start Thursday October 9th 3-5 pm. And will be ever Tuesday and Thursday until try outs October 24th .
MS Boys Basketball Open Gyms: There will be open gyms for any 7th or 8th Grade boys interested in playing basketball on Tuesday, October 14th, Tuesday, October 21st, and Thursday, October 23rd from 5:00 - 6:30 pm in the Aux Gym (MS GYM). Tryouts will be held on November 3rd and 4th. Please make sure that you have a valid physical on file.
PARENT REMINDER: Please remember, we are no longer using Final Forms district wide. ANY and ALL changes need to be made in PowerSchool. This will need to be completed and signed prior to each school year. Thank you for your cooperation with this. Log-in for the Parent PowerSchool account: https://ps-frbk.metasolutions.net/public/home.html. The information to be reviewed and updated is located under “Forms'' and then “Enrollment.” Complete each form, clicking “submit” to move to the next form. You will go through this process for each student in your account. Families will need to have their PowerSchool account set-up. ABSENCE REMINDER: If your child is going to miss for any reason, please call the school @ 937-349-9000, option #1, then option #2. Please call before 9:00 AM. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
NEW ENTRANCE FOR THE MS: The Middle School now has a new entrance, in the front of the building. All parent pick ups and drop offs will be through this entrance between the hours of 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM, ONLY Please use entrance “B”. Drop off and pick up before and after school is still in the back of the building, entrance “C”.
SCHOOL FEES: Fee invoices have been recorded in MSB. If you do not have a MSB(MySchoolBucks) account, please make one. You can either pay fees online through MSB, or send in a check with your child to the office to pay. There is a service fee if you pay online through MSB. If you have any questions regarding fees, please contact the office. Thank you.

BUS REMINDER: Just as a friendly reminder, we are not able to offer riding home on the bus w/friends. Students are only permitted to ride their assigned bus. Our buses are crowded and are not able to handle any extra students. Thank you for your cooperation with this.

Earlier this fall we placed an order for Fairbanks Totes that came in two sizes that you may have seen around campus and events. We are looking into placing a second order and to do so, we need to have a minimum of 50 total bags. PICTURE
We will be offering two sizes, a large 19" L × 9" W × 14" H and medium 15" L × 5" W × 12.5" H. We will also offer both sizes in two colors, red and black.
