FMS ANNOUNCEMENTS - 9/8/25
NEW ENTRANCE FOR THE MS: The Middle School now has a new entrance, in the front of the building. All parent pick ups and drop offs will be through this entrance between the hours of 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM, ONLY Please use entrance “B”. Drop off and pick up before and after school is still in the back of the building, entrance “C”.
POWERSCHOOL FORMS: Please remember, if you haven’t already done so, to go into PowerSchool and update your forms for the 25 - 26 school year.
PICTURE TIME: All students will be photographed on Thursday, September 11. Forms were sent home with students last week. There are extra forms on the bookcase outside of the office. Please come to school prepared for your pictures.
All Middle School Students: If you are interested in joining the FMS Student Council, please stop by Mrs. Hooper's office for an application. Members of the student council are students who promote and lead FMS in school pride and spirit as well as create a sense of community throughout the building. Student Council Members support a culture of Panther Heart, Panther Mind and Panther Spirit. Members set an example through their actions, behavior and grades. They do not earn Live & Learn tickets or Lunch Academy, and they strive for their best academically. The FMS Student Council contributes to creating a school environment where students, staff and guests want to be. Completed applications are due Monday, September 15th.
INTERESTED IN CROCHET/KNITTING CLUB: If you are interested in coming to knit and crochet club to either learn or work on your projects, we are meeting Friday from 3-4:30 in Mrs. Scott's room.
ROBOTICS: Any student interested in participating on the robotics team should fill out an application as we have limited spots available for this year’s team. Online applications can be submitted through Google forms at the following website: https://forms.gle/Zdg7pU6wLgtWb6BV9
ATTENTION 7TH GRADE PARENTS: Deputy Mitchell will be teaching DARE to the 7th graders. Please see the attached DARE letter. LETTER

8TH GRADE PARENTS: The eighth grade incentive program involves students earning play money which they can spend on snacks and school supplies. At the end of each quarter they will have the opportunity to attend a silent auction to bid on more expensive items. This incentive program is most successful with parent donations. SCHOOL FEES: Fee invoices have been recorded in MSB. If you do not have a MSB(MySchoolBucks) account, please make one. You can either pay fees online through MSB, or send in a check with your child to the office to pay. There is a service fee if you pay online through MSB. BUS REMINDER: Just as a friendly reminder, there is no riding home on the bus w/friends. Students are only permitted to ride their assigned bus. Our buses are crowded and are not able to handle any extra students. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
SCHOOL BASED DENTAL OUTREACH PROGRAM, MOBILE DENTAL CARE IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY: HEALTHY MOUTH, HEALTHY LIFE. Dental Exams, Dental Cleanings and Fluoride Treatments. The School Based Dental Outreach Program provides dental services right at your student’s school. The program is open to all students. There is no out of pocket cost for the program. Complete the consent given to you by the school. Return the consent to the MS Office. Questions about the program or services? Please, call 567.825.0226. Dental Sealants, Silver Diamine Fluoride and Oral Health Education. The Dental Team will provide the below services as needed. Consents are due back to the school by September 17th, 2025.
